Hi, I’m Phyllis, founder of Rise Everyday Yoga and Wellness. I'm a yogi, a former director of global tech enablement and a busy person managing multiple small businesses. I make time for yoga every day no matter where I am.
Yoga doesn't require a studio, a mat, a large space or silence. It doesn't require athletic capabilities or balance. It doesn't require 30 minutes or an hour. It requires a desire to dedicate energy towards improving your mindset, your focus and your well-being. Strength, flexibility, balance, clarity, greater productivity and happiness are just a few of benefits after practicing regularly.
After 20+ years of serving in demanding corporate roles, I experienced mental and physical burnout. I was working harder than ever… and struggling more than ever. After intensive self-reflection, I decided to walk away from my corporate job and pursue my purpose. My purpose is to inspire, mentor and help others. I want to help busy people avoid burnout by implementing incremental, manageable healthy changes in their lives. By becoming more self-aware, mindful and balanced in all that you do, you have more energy and clarity to focus on what matters most.Â
I am a 500-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher, earning multiple certifications in North Carolina, Florida, California and Costa Rica! My teaching style emphasizes yoga for all levels, all bodies and all spaces - including the office space. My goal is that you conclude each session content, calm and collected, ready to take on your next task with clarity, confidence and compassion.
I currently teach in-person yoga classes in North Carolina at Studio8 Fitness Atlantic Beach and The View at Sugarloaf Morehead City. In order to share my passion with more communities, I am expanding my reach to the world! In May 2025, Rise Everyday Yoga and Wellness will deliver services both in-person and virtually offering a portfolio of online live and on-demand courses, programs, workshops and events which can be customized to fit you or your team’s goals.
